poly plate lithograph and etching
These prints are a response to a continual feeling of being overwhelmed. I’m using software that I’ve written myself for sketching. It’s written in Java/Processing and I’ve coded a database that stores the drawing data. These drawings are exported as vector files and then go to laser engravers, polyester plates, etching plates, etc..
I’m incorporating digital tools in my work, but they’re in no way digital prints. I move between analog and digital, feeding one into the other and back.
I’m concerned more about the processes than the products. I’ve been working on a new techniques for intaglio lift grounds, one using graphite.
